Today is a bit of a lazy post. I have so many great stories and photos from recent adventures, but alas, as I struggle to make it through the last stage of the flu while not falling behind in my German lessons, the effort to turn those pieces into coherent posts is beyond me.

Instead, I give you words of inspiration.

I love quotes.  I love travel. Here are some of my favorite quotes related to travel. I hope at least a few might be new to you.

Enjoy!

Cities, like dreams, are made of desires and fears, even if the thread of their discourse is secret, their rules are absurd, their perspectives deceitful, and everything conceals something. – Invisible Cities, Italo Calvino.

The whole book is amazing. If you haven’t read it yet, go read!

See I’m leaving today. Oh yes, I’m living it, I’m leaving it to change. But somehow I’ll miss it. I think I’ll really miss it one day.-   Cruz, Christina Aguilera

This is a great song—definitely captures the feeling of leaving “home,” whether it’s the one you grew up in or one you made as an adult, for a new adventure. Listen to the whole song here.

If you don’t like where you are, move. You’re not a tree – Someone on Instagram

And then there is the most dangerous risk of all—the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later –    Monk and the Riddle: The Education of a Silicon Valley Entrepreneur, Randy Komisar.

Disclaimer: I have not read the book yet. However, I stumbled across the quote, and that was enough to get it added to my book list.

You can be in love with one thousand views and skylines and souls and minds at once. Don’t apologize for your burn, your passion, or your enthusiasm. Enthusiasm propels the world . –Victoria Erickson

“I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on earth. Then I ask myself the same question” -Harun Yahya
